Project Sponsors

Project Sponsors are the independent, third-party service providers who are responsible for installing energy efficiency measures at residences and businesses. Including air conditioning contractors, insulation and solar/PV installers, lighting contractors, retail electric providers, and other energy efficiency companies, the project sponsors receive incentive payments from the Transmission & Distribution Utilities (TDUs) for installing energy efficiency measures that result in peak demand reductions and energy savings.

Project sponsors must meet minimum eligibility criteria to participate in the utility programs. In addition, sponsors must demonstrate their financial, technical, and managerial qualifications as part of the application process.
