The State Energy Conservation Office (SECO) partners with Texas consumers, businesses, educators and local governments to reduce energy costs and maximize efficiency.

In addition to its own energy efficiency initiatives, SECO was the recipient of approximately $290 million in stimulus funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

Federal Programs

The federal government offers tax credits for the purchase of certain energy efficienct products and renewable energy systems. Other tax incentives exist for businesses, utilities and government agencies.  Find more information at the links below.
